Talk Town is Denmark’s largest festival for gender, equality and feminism.
Talk Town was first held in 2016 in parallel with the international conference ‘Women Deliver’, which was hosted that year by Copenhagen. The foundational principle of the festival is to provide a space for a diverse range of contributors to come together and discuss gender issues in a way that is nuanced and productive.
Talk Town is presented by Kvinderådet in collaboration with cultural production collective, Indgreb.
Chairperson for Kvinderådet, Nanna Højlund says:
“Talk Town’s programme reflects that equality is about everyone, traversing genders, ethnicities, age, employment and other differences. We experience an increased interest in the population and a large engagement among feminists of all kinds, and it is this breadth and movement, Talk Town strives to accommodate and strengthen.”
